Life is a Peach

If life is a peach, meaning life is good and the right to live one's life is universal and inviolate for all human beings, then it follows that laws, policies, and practices that are contrary to the unalienable right to life are bad laws, bad policies, and bad practices.

Therefore, the second part of our "Life is a Peach" slogan is "Abortion is the Pits."

We believe that abortion is a grave moral evil that does tremendous harm to women, men, families, and society at-large. We also believe that most people do not know the truth about the consequences of abortion, or they are in denial about these consequences.

Many do not know that medical science has proved that our life began at the moment of conception. They do not know the heart begins beating 21 days after fertilization or how quickly the baby develops month-by-month.

Our mission is to bring the tragedy of abortion into the public conscience. Education and support for pregnant women are the keys to saving the lives of the unborn babies in danger of being aborted. Once parents and society see and understand what abortion is they acknowledge that the better option is to choose life.

Other Important Life Issues

Abortion is not the only offense against the dignity and sanctity of human life that occurs daily in the United States. We also oppose laws, policies, and practices related to these actitivities:

The Pro-Abortion Lobby

We can tell that most proponents of legal abortion know abortion is the pits. We can tell by the deceptive language they use to try and prevent people from learning the shocking truth about abortion. For example, the phrase "pro-choice" is a marketing gimmick and a misnomer used to convince people that abortion is about "women's reproductive health choice" and NOT about the life of the unborn baby. They say a woman has a "right to privacy" about her own body and health. But they don't admit there are two people involved, mom and her unborn baby.

Abortion proponents try to deny the humanity of the unborn baby by referring to her as "tissue" or "embryo" or "fetus". They talk about "terminating the pregnancy" to avoid acknowledging that abortion intentionally kills someone. Even the word "abortion" can sanitize the reality that it results in the death - some would say murder - of a defenseless baby.

Abortion proponents also hide behind the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court rulings in Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton that overturned state laws prohibiting abortion, including Michigan's laws dating back to 1846, and thereby legalized abortion-on-demand. But just because abortion is legal does not mean it is morally right or good public policy. Over 50,000,000 innocent, unborn babies have been killed in their mother's womb since 1973. Countless others were killed by abortifacient drugs such as RU-486.

Amazingly, the abortion lobby even opposes laws that are designed to help protect women, such as bans on partial birth abortion, coerced abortions, and transporting minor girls across state lines for an abortion. They have opposed prolife laws such as ultrasound viewing rights, informed consent, parental consent, abortion complications reporting, conscience clauses protecting medical personnel who are morally opposed to abortion, and more.

For these reasons and many more, abortion is the pits!

But there is hope for women who are considering abortion. They have other options. Help is available.
