OCTOBER 2011

"Life is a Peach" Romeo Life Chain
DATE: Sunday, October 2, 2011
PURPOSE: To peaceful observe Respect Life Sunday and witness to the unalienable right to life by prayerfully standing along Van Dyke in Romeo Village holding peaceful, life-affirming signs. Our goal is to stretch the life chain 1.75 miles from the Church of Christ at the north end of Romeo Village proper down to 31 Mile Road.
WHO: This event is open to the public. Anyone who wants to stand in solidarity with us and remind passing motorists that "life is a peach... abortion is the pits" is welcome. Please RSVP so we have enough signs and refreshments.
TIME: 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
LOCATION: We will congregate in the parking lot at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church and then disperse north and south along Van Dyke.
DIRECTIONS: St. Clement is located next to The Village Florist on the east side of Van Dyke/Main Street south of 32 Mile Road (a.k.a. St. Clair Street). The address is 343 S. Main Street.

Focus on Life: Annual Benefit Dinner 2011
DATE: Monday, October 3, 2011

January 2012

March for Life "Red-Eye" Bus Trip to Washington D.C.
PURPOSE: To march with hundreds of thousands prolife Americans in peaceful protest of the 1973 Supreme Court Rulings in Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton that legalized abortion-ondemand across the nation.
WHO: Individuals and youth groups who believe "life is a peach" and want to experience the power of the people marching through the streets of our nation's capitol.
DATES: January 22-24, 2012
TIME: Sunday, January 23 at 5:00 p.m. until Tuesday, January 25 at 5:30 a.m.
LOCATION: To be announced in August or September, 2012
MORE INFO: This is a "red-eye" bus trip for individuals, families, youth groups, and young adult groups. Seats are filled on a firstcome, first-served basis. There is no overnight hotel stay. Minors must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone. We will depart on Sunday, January 22 at 5:00 p.m. from a location to be announced at a later date. We will arrive in Washington D.C. at around 5:30 a.m. on Monday, January 23. The rally and march begin at noon. We will depart for home at 7:00 p.m., returning on Tuesday, January 24 around 5:30 a.m.
